Does Asset.Guru support divisions?

The Enterprise Edition feature called "Divisions" enables the grouping of assets with any criteria you would like to use.

These are also flexible groupings so that they can be changed anytime ...minute by minute, or month to month, if required.

Divisions can be used to report on:

  1. Cost Centres
  2. Locations
  3. Business Unit level reporting
  4. Client reporting

For example, one of our largest UK based clients rents equipment to schools.

They support over 700 schools and therefore have 700 Divisions to map each asset to the assigned school and then be able to report depreciation per school.

The Enterprise Edition Divisions feature extends the reporting and dimensionality of Asset.Guru beyond just Asset Types and are not limited by any ERP or GL functional limitations.

Divisions are displayed on the Depreciation Reports (Excel and PDF) and all Asset Register exports, and can be searched as well via the Search bar in the Asset Register view

So, with an Enterprise Edition plan there are 3 independent methods to assign items to groups (beyond asset types which is a 4th):

  1. Check-in and Check-out (who has what) (Starter edition and above plans)
  2. Address Locations: Google maps address locations for the home base of an asset
  3. Divisions: (Enterprise Edition and above plans)
