Can you scan barcodes into Asset.Guru ?

Yes, the fastest way to add barcodes is via the bulk asset upload process.

You'll see a column for Serial numbers and Barcodes on the CSV template provided.

Additionally, Asset.Guru is improving a major section of the platform from the ground up that will result in a completely redeveloped mobile app supporting both iOS and Android devices.  

This will utilise the phone camera functions to search for assets by "scanning" the barcode with the camera.  

Printing your own labels?

If you are wanting to plan ahead, Asset.Guru prefers (but is not limited to) the use of EAN-13 barcode standard which is the commonly used barcode for products sold at retail POS, or alternatively the GS1-128 barcode standard which is used by logistic applications (often printed on a SSCC Label (Serial Shipping Container Code).
