How do I remove an asset from the active Register?
To answer this, please note there are two main stages of an asset, Draft and Active.
While in Draft, assets can be deleted or any asset field can be updated.
Once Activated, the asset fields can be updated with Edit (non-financial fields) or Amend (financial fields).
If an asset has created journals, it will be locked from being deleted based on the potential financial impact.
If this potential financial impact has been accounted for, and the asset needs to be removed from the active register, please contact support@asset.guru with the asset id's and we can get this processed for you.
