How do I connect my accounting application to Asset.Guru
Asset.Guru integrates directly with QuickBooks Online and Xero along with supporting other accounting packages like QuickBooks Desktop, NetSuite, Intacct, Microsoft, Reckon Desktop and via using the Spreadsheet option.
To enable Asset.Guru to create journals, simply:
- Click the Administration menu in the sidebar
- On the Setup tab, click "Choose your accounting application", then click Get Started for one of the following:
- Intuit QuickBooks (for QuickBooks Online users),
- Xero for Xero users, or
- the Excel logo for any other accounting package
- For QuickBooks Online and Xero users, follow the onscreen prompts to authorise the connection by clicking Connect to QuickBooks Online or Xero. Enter your credentials when prompted to log in to your QuickBooks Online or Xero account. Choose the correct organisation, company or firm to connect to, the select the Next and Connect.
- Define your journal posting start date and click Next and Finish.

Note: when connected, Asset.Guru automatically posts depreciation journals to your accounting system.
Journals can also be automatically created by Asset.Guru when Disposing, Selling, Revaluing or Amending assets. This option for this is displayed on the screen when performing one of the listed actions.
